Parent Partners (DHS program)
This program is about parents helping parents who are involved with the child welfare system. Parent advocates are birth parents who have been through the “system” and have successfully resolved cases. The primary goal is to help birth parents get their children returned to them. Parent partners provide support and motivation for those parents who need the extra push to begin their case plan activities. The program is funded by Iowa DHS and administered by Children and Families of Iowa.
